Mrs. Massie Murrah died Saturday, August 21. She was a member of the Elkhorn Methodist Church and had lived a beautiful Christian life. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Joe Murrah; two daughters, Helen and Rosoline; two sons, Oconell and Samuel Murrah; four brothers, Mr. Clyde Jones, of Columbia, Mr. Elby Jones, of Cincinnati, Mr. Don Jones, of Springfield, ill., Mr. Willie Jones, of Tallula, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Russell White, of Elkhorn. Funeral services were held Sunday, at 2:30 at Elkhorn church, conducted by Rev. Frank Hulse. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were Messrs. Brodas Benningfield, Willis Hardin, Sam Bright, Robert Ramsey, Crum Cave, and Ray Benningfield. Honorary pallbearers were Messrs. Ed Dabney, Charley Barbee, Bob Allen, Willard Carroll, Mont Burton, and Alvin McWhorter. Flower girls were Mrs. Willard Carroll, Mrs. Hulse, Mrs. Druin, Mrs. Stanley Murray, Miss Ina Hovis, and Mrs. Lee Robinson.
