Anna J. Fogelstrom, 89, a resident of Cashmere for the past 45 years, died on Friday, March 31, 1989, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center.
She was born on Sept 26, 1899, in Pauls Valley, Okla., one of 13 children of John and Elizabeth (Thomas) Jantz. She attended school in Oklahoma. She married Anders G. Fogelstrom on May 20, 1918, at Fort Cobb, Okla.
They lived in Nebraska until moving to the Wenatchee Valley in 1936. They lived in Malaga, Plain and Leavenworth before settling in Cashmere in 1944. Mrs. Fogelstrom was a member of the Church of God, Faith of Abraham, in Cashmere and a charter member of Navy Mothers of Leavenworth.
Surviving are two daughters, Doris Holm of Walport, and Carol Pace of Wenatchee; four sons, Murray of San Diego, Cal., Warren of Cashmere, John "Fred" of Poway, Cal., and Gene of Leavenworth; one sister, Philbena Janz of Oklahoma; 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and several brothers and sisters. Graveside services were held Tuesday morning at the Cashmere Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Wachtel and the Rev. Jim Rankin officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Cashmere Aid Car. The Braun Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
