HARDESTY - Eugene, age 81 of Lowell passed away Thursday evening, July 30, 1987. Survivors: three sons, Ronald of San Pedro, California, William (Janice) of Lowell and Edward (Pamela) of Lowell; six daughters, Mary (Myrle) Ernsweiler of Port Richy, Florida, Dorothy Scott of Los Angeles, California, Helen Pear of Hammond, Barbara (Julian) Echterling of Wheatfield, Indiana, Margie (Gilbert) Dewes of Brainard, Minnesota, and Betty (Rex) Smith of Frankston, Texas; three brothers, Robert, Hubert and David all of Kentucky; four sisters, Eva Corbett of Kentucky, Lucille Sketon of Miami, Florida, Corine Able and Margaret Richardson both of Kentucky; 28 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 3, 11 a.m. from St. Edward's Catholic Church with Msgr. Timothy Doody officiating. Burial, St. Edward's Cemetery, Lowell. Family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sheets-Love Funeral Home, 604 E. commercial Ave., Lowell. Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. Mr. Hardesty was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church; was retired from ARCO (Sinclair) in July of 1968l and was a member of OCAW Local #7-1. Memorial may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
