FRANKFORT INDEX THURSDAY, AUGUST 25, 1960

ANNIE ELIZABETH HEATH, the eldest daughter of Wm. McCauley and Mary Elizabeth Cope, was born November 11, 1878 in Jackson Center, Indiana.

When she was three years old she came with her parents to Holton, Jackson County, Kansas where she received her schooling.

On July 3, 1898 she married Frank W. Heath of Seneca, Kansas. They established their home in Holton later moving to a farm south of Holton.

In 1913 they moved to their present home, where she passed away August 13 at the age of 81 years 9 months and 2 days. She was preceded in death by her husband February 18, 1959 after 61 years of marriage.

They were the parents of eleven children. Ten are left to mourn her passing; Mrs. Irene Cobb, Mitchell, South Dakota; George and Mrs. Anna Manges of Westmoreland; Mrs. Elizabeth White, Blue Rapids; Charley and Ben of Kimball, South Dakota; Gene of Topeka; Algern of Burchard, Nebraska; Mrs. Maxine Anderson, Waterville, Kansas, and Laurel of the home; also 36 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Goodman and Mrs. Laura Ward, Chicago Heights, Illinois; one brother, James A. McCauley, Mayetta, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by one daughter Mrs. Maybelle Hope, her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Her family and home were her greatest interest, although she had raised her own large family, she still found herself able to open her home to her three granddaughters and gave them a mothers love and care. Today her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren are a symbol of a job well done.

Rev. Robert White of Liberty, Missouri officiated and interment was in the Vermillion Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Heath. Arrangements were by Smith Funeral Home, Vermillion.

Alice Elizabeth Heath, 81 years of age, passed away Saturday, August 13.

Funeral services were held at the Vermillion Methodist church Tuesday, August 16 at two o'clock.

Burial was in the Vermillion cemetery.
