A grave side service for Andrew James Lane will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Galatia Cemetery in Norfork. Mr. Lane Passed away Thursday, Aug 2, 2001 at the age of 84.

He was born to William Harrison and Bertha Arvilla Havner Lane in Berry on July 1, 1917. He married Augusta "Gussie" Smith May 23, 1938, at the Wolf House in Norfork. He was a carpenter, and in the 1940s, worked on building both Bull Shoals and Norfork dams.

He is survived by three daughters, Vera Reeves of Norfork, Rilla Mae Broome of Texas and Beverly Neal of Oklahoma; a son, Jimmie Lane of Louisiana; two brothers, Junior and Dean Lane of Texas, two sisters, Jewell McNeill of Oklahoma and Mabel Cowart of Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Bill and George Lane; and a sister, Edna Meyer.
