Obituary:

Bertha Arvilla Lane, 81 of Greenville, Texas, died Thursday at her home. She was a former resident of Lone Rock.

Bertha was born on June 21, 1898, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew Havner. She was the widow of William Harrison Lane and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include four sons, Andrew James Lane of Tulsa, Okla., Harrison J. Lane of Greenville, Tex., Dean Lane of Richardson, Tex., and William Vernon Lane of Ketchum, Okla., three daughters; Mary Jewell McNeil of Tulsa, Edna Pauline Meyers of Alma, Kans., and Mabel Irene Cowart of Baldwin, Kans.; two sisters; Hattie Martin of Topeka, Kans. and Anna Lee Payne, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday at the Old Galatia Church with Paul Huskey officiating. Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers included Billy Drown, Randy Drown, Ted Drown, Jim Lane, Vernon Lane, Ricky Lane and Larry McNeil. Honorary pallbearers included Gene Alexander, Thurl Whitaker, Louis Alexander, Harold Alexander, Carl King, Rudolph Parnell and Ross Alexander.
