Dies While On Visit
Mrs. Elizabeth Whitaker, 77, of White City, Kan., died Friday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Hester Holaday, 1517 North St. Francis, where she had been visiting for two weeks. She was born in Indiana and was a member of the Christian church. Surviving also are four other daughters, Mrs. Laura Sisson, Salina, Mrs. Lula Raney, Waverly, Kan., Mrs. Violet Cross, Kingston, Ark., and Mrs. Thelma Evans, White City; three sons, William W., Phoenix Ariz., Emmett D., 1233 Lulu, and LaVar D., 1640 South Mosley; four sisters, 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be in White City.
Married Joseph Luke Whitaker 9-8-1887.
