LOS GATOS, Calif., Jan. 10 - Funeral services for Cmdr. Roger K. Hodsdon, 67, USN (ret.) will be held here tomorrow. Commander Hodsdon, a native of Yarmouth, Maine, died Tuesday. He held the Order of the British Empire for his work in repairing British ships while commanding a U. S. Navy repair base for Allied ships in New Zealand during World War II. Commander Hodsdon was born May 27, 1889, son of Mrs. A. Blanche Hodsdon of Portland, Maine, and the late George H. Hodsdon. He attended Yarmouth schools and was graduated from Colby College in 1912. He retired from the Navy in 1950 after 32 years service. he was a member of Casco Lodge, AF & AM. Yarmouth, and the Maine Society of Sons of the American Revolution. Survivors include his widow, the former Sarah Donnelly, a son, Roger K. Hodsdon Jr., Los Gatos; two daughters, Miss. Dorothy Hodsdon and Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, both teaching in Surrey, England, under an exchange program; two brothers, Richard F. Hodsdon, South Thomaston, Maine, and Herbert S. Hodsdon, Portland; a sister, Mrs. Heln Fiske, Whitehall, Mont.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
