Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Southern Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Briggs officiating, assisted by Rev. Lewis Couch. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pineville.
Survivors include his widow; a son, Gene W. Barber of Pollock; a daughter, Mrs. Sue Davis of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Elva Barber of California; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Bartley of Winnfield, Mrs. Berdie [sic Bertie] Green of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Benettie Duke of Olla and Mrs. Katherine Apel of Pollock; and five grandchildren.
