Services for Mr. Elvin Brodie Barber Sr., 81, were held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 23, 1993, in Many Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Officiating was Elder J. M. Stay. Burial was held at Guin Cox Cemetery in Winnfield.
Mr. Barber is survived by his wife, Vendora Barber of Many; three sons, E. Brodie Barber II of Many, Edgar "Buck" Barber of Trout, and Brian Barber of Georgetown; two daughters, Josie Barber of Winnfield, and Margaret Poisson of Redwood City, California; three sisters, Mertie Bartley of Winnfield, Bertie Green of Winnfield, and Catherine Apel of Pollock; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Tom Barber; and a sister, Bernette Duke.
