Frank Edward Evers, 72, of Lynchburg, died Monday, May 16, 1994, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the widower of Margie Adams Bryant Evers.

Born Nov. 7, 1921, in Orange County, he was a son of the late John Harvey and Lomie Lee Evers.

He was retired Commissioner of Revenue for the City of Lynchburg, a member of Fort Hill Lions Club, the BeeKeepers Association, and was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the board of trustees. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Mrs. Nancy Bryant Powell of Rustburg; a step-granddaughter, Cathy Powell Campbell and her husband, Clinton J. Campbell; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Lynne Campbell and Brittany Lynne Campbell, all of Rustburg; four brothers, Arthur D. Evers of Rustburg, John Earl Evers, Lawrence C. Evers, both of Lynchburg, and Nelson P. Evers of Forest.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Paul and Carl Evers, and a sister, Mrs. Frances E. Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, with the Rev. David Burch officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
