ROSE HILL -- Ray E. Harper, 84, Nov. 12, 1988, at his home.
Born Oct. 25, 1904, at Mt. Hope, he married Alma Holcombe Aug. 24, 1941, at Gravette, Ark. He was a retired farmer and a Boeing Military Aircraft modification mechanic and a resident of Rose Hill for 45 years.

He was a member of Rose Hill Christian Church.

Survivors; wife, of the home;sons, Thomas R., Oklahoma City, Dale L., Stafford, William L., Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Oma R. Schrag, Hebronville, Conn., Alma G. Gunter, Newell, Okla.; brother John, Yuma, Ariz.; sister, Mary Coon, Cheney; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tim Anthis. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Monday at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to
11 am. Monday. Memorials may go to the hospice of Wichita or the church.
