Longtime Resident Of Mount Hope Dies
at Kingman
Mrs. Nancy Jane Harper, 85, a resident of the Mount Hope community for 66 years, died Friday morning in a Kingman Kansas hospital after a long illness

Mrs Harper was born Dec. 28, 1869 in Milan, Mo.
She came to Kansas in 1866 with her parents where they homesteaded in Meade County. They moved to a farm at Mount Hope in 1889.
She married William H. Harper Feb. 27 1895. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Christian Church.

Among the survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Fannie James of Piedmont, Kan., Mrs Nellie McElroy of McClave, Colo., Mrs. Mary Coon of Sterling, Kan. and Mrs. Mabel Smart of Bayfield, Colo.; six sons, Jesse T. of Fort Worth, Tex, Ray Edgar of Rose Hill, Kan., Ermon H of Lanigan, Mo, Dewey E, John R. and William G., all of Mount Hope; 36grandchildren.

Services will be held 2:30pm. Sunday at Wulf Mortuary with Rev. LeRoy McReynolds officiating
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
