Rev. James Carroll Sullivan died in the 79th year of his life at his home near Boston Monday at 10 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at the Hudgins Cemetery yesterday at noon by Rev. Eugene Moore. The deceased had spent his long useful life in this county. He had preached for forty years for the M. E. Mission, and was widely known and highly esteemed. He was twice married. His first marriage was to Miss Frances Rial, who died in 1906, and his second to Miss Louella Davis, who survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by the following children, Mrs. Celicia Mangrum, Mrs. Darthuly Anglin, Joe, O. K., D. F., Isom, Jadie, Bettie Lou, Martha Mai, Annie Lee, Sam, William, Eugene, Lyden, and Joycie Sullivan, all of this county. His grandsons acted as pallbearers. McKay Brothers were the funeral directors.
