Funeral services for Lonzo W. Adair, 82, Brownsboro, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, in the Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel in Athens, with the Rev. James Russell officiaiting.
Burial was in the Leagueville Cemetery.
Mr. Adair died Monday, November 24, in a Tyler hospital after a lenghty illness.
He was born Jan 4, 1904, and lived in Brownsboro all his life.
Mr. Adair was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of the New Hope Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Opal Nichols Adair of Brownsboro; three sons, Billy Adair of the New York community, Dale Adair of Frankston and Terry Adair of Canton; six daughters, Mrs. MAvis Brewer of Kemp, Mrs. Judy Mayon Miller of Brownsboro, Mrs. Edna Cox and Mrs. Brenda Pool, both of the New York Community, Mrs Chloe Dean Graves of Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. Adella Giles of Edom; two brothers, Wylie Adair of Lake Palestine and Wesley Adair of Leagueville; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brown of Brownsboro, Mrs. Estell Barton of Dallas, Mrs Allie Howard of Malakoff, and Mrs. Vera Gideon of Palmer; 29 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers including Eddie Cox, Russell Giles, Bud Adair, Kevin Adair, Keith Graves and Adam Adair.
