On Wednesday evening at eight o'clock, December 19, 1917, at the home of her father on the Chase Mills-Louisville Road, Blanche Power died after a sickness of three months from tuberculosis.
Blanche was the fourth daughter of John Power, her mother dying at her birth nineteen years ago, and she is survived by her brother John of Syracuse and her sisters, Mary, Mrs. Ardele Fitzgerald, and Julia and Margaret, all of Louisville. She was a quiet but thoughtful girl and was a bright student in Massena High School. Many friends sorrow deeply with the bereaved family at the loss of a dear one bearing such fair promise.
