Mrs. Julia Genevieve Power Carroll, 77, a lifelong resident of Louisville, and widow of Thomas Patrick Carroll died in Massena Memorial Hospital Saturday, February 5, 1972 at 1:10 p.m. She had been a patient there for 10 days.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Marguerite) Quinn, Chicago; three sons, Thomas J. Carroll, supervisor of the Town of Louisville, Robert J. Carroll, Syracuse, and John P. Carroll, Massena; 22 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Carroll was born at Louisville April 8, 1894, a daughter of John and Sarah Finn Power. She attended schools in Louisville, was graduated from Massena High School, enrolled in the Madrid Training Class and taught in district schools in Louisville from 1913 to 1923.

She and Thomas Patrick Carroll, Louisville, were married in St. Lawrence Church, Louisville, October 8, 1923.

Mr. Carroll was a farmer and served 14 years as a town assessor. He died May 17, 1967. Since then Mrs. Carroll has resided alone in the farm home on Willard Cross. She appeared to be in good health until she was stricken about 10 days ago.

She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Massena Grange No, 704, P.H.
