Mrs. Mary Power Fitzgerald, 78, Town Ridge Road, widow of Ardle Fitzgerald, died at 8:10 o'clock Tuesday night, March 21, 1967 in Massena Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was hospitalized 10 days, suffering from the effects of a fall in her home.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was born February 25, 1889, in Louisville, a daughter of John and Sarah Finn Power. She attended schools in Louisville and was graduated from Potsdam Normal. She taught in Louisville Schools in her younger life then in about 1945 returned to teaching. She and Mr. Fitzgerald were married June 20, 1913 and they lived on the farm which had been settled by his father.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Elwood (Helen) Prashaw, Massena, Mrs. Leon (Ruth) Smith and Mrs. Louis (Betty) Molnar, both of Louisville, and Mrs. James (Martha) Martin, Chase Mills; 13 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Thomas P. (Julia) Carroll, Louisville.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was communicant of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Retired Teachers Association.
