October 4, 1960:
Mrs. Ida Mae Reiter, 86, a resident of Kingman County since 1900, died in Memorial Hospital, Friday, September 30. Six weeks ago she fell and broke her hip, and she had been seriously ill since that time. Mrs. Reiter was born in Marion, Indiana, November 10, 1873. She came to Kingman County when a child and lived in the Penalosa community. She married Frank Reiter in Kingman on July 2, 1903. Mr. Reiter died August 11, 1948. Mrs. Reiter had lived in Kingman since 1937. She was a member of the Methodist church where funeral services were conducted Monday, October 3 at 2 p.m. Burial was held at the Walnut Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Jones, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Owen (Meryl) Mason of Fredonia; two sons, Raymond of Irving, Texas and Wilbur of Kingman; and one brother, Ray Benson of Pittsburg; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The Livingston Mortuary has been in charge of arrangements.
