William I Benson, 63, died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning, December 25, 1944 at his home four miles east of Pittsburg. He had been in ill health since last April. Mr. Benson was born Aug. 31, 1881, at Chase, Kas. He was married to Miss Lizzie Watson on Oct. 20, 1904. With the exception of two years, he had been a resident of Kansas all his life. Beside Mrs. Benson, he is survived by two brothers, Ray Benson of Opolis, and E.L. Benson of Eureka, Mont.; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Reiter of Kingman, Kas. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending the arrival of relatives. The body will be taken from Ellsworth chapel some time today to the Gibson Chapel, Lamar. Arrangements will be in charge of the Gibson Chapel.
