Opal Elizabeth Detty, 76, of Tiffin Tower, died 2:40 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 in Westmoreland Place, following a brief illness. She was born February 14, 1930, in Jackson County, West Virginia, to the late Pearl and Almeda Conger Sheppard.
Surviving are; daughters, Vicki Sue (Charles) Davis, of Williamsport and Sheryl (Cass) Russell, of Waverly; grandchildren, Kendra, Brent and Megan Park and Chad, Lori and Ryan Russell; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Brooks (Pauline) Sheppard and Harlan (Thelma) Sheppard, both of West Virginia; sisters, Freda Hudson and Nina Ruth (Don) Pursley, both of West Virginia and Beulah Whaley, of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dale Sheppard and a sister, Kathleen Burchard.
Mrs. Detty was a retired waitress.
Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
