Roy "Slick" Akers, 54, 422 Olive Street, died at 6:40 a.m. today at Mary Sherman Hospital following an extended illness.
Survivors include the wife, Hannah; 2 daughters, Mrs. Harry Arthur of Bicknell and Mrs. Walter Goodman of Sullivan R 5; one son, Leroy, of Terre Haute; the father, Lex Akers, of Sullivan R 5; three brothers, Lex Jr., of Shelburn, Clarence and Walter, both of Hammond; three sisters, Miss Mary Akers, Mrs. Virgil Walters and Mrs. Rod Wall, all of Sullivan; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are pending at the Alexander Funeral Home.
