GALENA, Kan. -- Services for Fred Adams, 65, Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Galena, who died at 2 p.m. Thursday in an Albuquerque Hospital after a three-month illness, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Derfelt Chapel in Galena. The Rev. Harry Shallenburger will officiate.

Burial will be in Peace (sic) Cemetery, southwest of Galena.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The body is expected to arrive here at 11:25 a.m. Sunday at the Derfelt Funeral Home.

Mr. Adams was born May 14, 1906, at Galena, Kan. and lived here prior to moving to Albuquerque.

He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church of Albuquerque.

He married Pearl Raney, Baxter Springs, in 1929, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Don Adams, Albuquerque, N.M.; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Duley, North Platt, Neb., Mrs. Opal Berry, Mrs. Ema Tomlinson, and Miss Patty Jo Adams, all of Albuquerque; his mother, Mrs. Dovie Adams, Galena; six brothers, Floyd Adams, Lee Adams, Alfred Adams, all of Galena, Harold Adams, Kansas City, Mo., and Raymond Adams, Redwood City, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Leota Harris, Quapaw, Okla., Mrs. Mable Elliott, Baxter Springs, Mrs. Sylvia Slimp and Mrs. Ruby Ingersoll, both of Galena; 10 grandchildren.
