Mrs. Kathryn Bernice Pharris, 80, of 311 College Street, Ozark, Arkansas, died February 23, 1999 at the Ozark Nursing Home. She was born June 12, 1918 at Venus, Arkansas, the daughter of Fred and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Keck. She was a retired nursing assistant and a member of the Pentecostal Church. She was the widow of Charley Jefferson Pharris who preceded her in death on February 20, 1967.

Survivors include: three sons, Fred Pharris of Hindsville, Russell Pharris of Springdale and Joe Pharris of Mountainburg; four daughters, Mrs. Norma Labor of North Little Rock, Mrs. Linda Estep of Ozark, Mrs. Kathy Wood of Fort Smith and Mrs. Bernice Green of Lonoke; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Bryant of Huntsville; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25 at the Venus Cemetery with Rev. Porter Bryant and Rev. Layton Porter officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers were Ikey Labor, Jr., Timmy Estep, Lynn Pharris, Sam Swaim and Robert Swain.
