Charlie Jefferson Pharris, 57, of Huntsville, passed away Feb. 20 in Meadowview Lodge after a long illness. He was born March 4, 1910, in Madison County. He is survived by his wife, Katherine, of the home; three sons, Russell of Huntsville; Freddie of Wesley, and Joe Lynn of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Bernice Swaim of Boston, Mrs. Nora Labor of Little Rock, Mrs. Linda Eastep of Ozark, and Kathy Pharris of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Cavender of Springdale, Mrs. Masel Howell and Mrs. Jewell Grigg, both of Marble; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church with Bro. Lewis Johnson, Bro. Floyd Spurlock and Bro. Charles Russell officiating. Burial was in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
