DEATH OF JOHN H. CASE.
Passing of One of the Pioneer Residents of the Valley.
John F. Case, one of the well-known pioneer residents of San Bernardino valley, died at his home in Mill precinct yesterday morning a little after 3 o’clock. He has been a resident of the valley since 1853, settling at Old San Bernardino, where he lived for over 40 years, moving to his recent residence a few years since.
The family of which he was the head is related to nearly all of the pioneer families of the valley, and by his many relatives, as by his numerous friends, he was held in warm esteem. He leaves a widow, and seven children: Mrs. John McGir, Mrs. Charles Cole, Mrs. Andrew Dewitt, Mrs. Alice Wixom, Mrs. Thomas Munro, Miss Case and John Case, Jr.
The funeral will be held from the family residence this afternoon at 2:30.
