Lillie met and married F. Leon Stephens July 6, 1929, at Lewiston. They didn't have any children, but the two of them had a wonderful loving life together. They had been married for 74 years when Leon passed away in 2003.
Lillie and Leon lived in Winchester and several surrounding areas wherever they could procure work. In 1943, they moved to Lewiston.
After retirement she enjoyed traveling, especially to the Old Time Fiddlers' festivals and get-togethers. She did a great deal of canning and enjoyed doing different crafts. She was the family pioneer genealogist, writing many letters to obtain family records; she claimed to have worn out three typewriters typing up records for five or six different branches of the family. She not only made one book of each, but several so that all the immediate members of the family had a book.
She was a member of the Orchards Christian Church in Lewiston.
Our Lillie was a sweet, caring and wonderful person who will be missed by all who knew her, especially her many nieces and nephews. Have a wonderful journey. We love you!
