Charles Crawford, 45, Heart Disease Victim

Lapwai, Feb. 24 1945 – Saturday – Charles H. Crawford, 45, section hand for the Camas Prairie railroad for the last 20 years, dropped dead at his home at Lapwai a few minutes after midnight this morning of heart disease. A physician was summoned, but Mr. Crawford was dead when he arrived.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Edna Crawford; three children, Kenneth Crawford, overseas with the navy; Vern Crawford and Phyllis Crawford, at home; three brothers, Sam Crawford, Spalding, James Crawford, Craigmont; Arthur Crawford, Kamiah; three sisters, Mrs. Ellis Wamsley, Lapwai; Mrs. Leon Stephens and Mrs. Clarence Kelley, both of Lewiston.


Crawford Services Held – Funeral services for Charles H. Crawford, Spalding, were held at the Brower-Wann chapel Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Matthew Wright, Lapwai, officiating. Interment was at Normal Hill.
