We do not know much about Elizabeth. She had no children of her own. those who knew her, remember her as a caring person with a "heart of gold".

When her first cousin, Daniel best, had a son out of wedlock in 1890, elizabeth took the child and raised him as her own. She also raised three children of William Riley Best and Mary Elizabeth Kerr. William Riley Best was another first cousin and brother to Daniel Best. William Riley Best had remarried and his children chose to stay withy "Aunt Lissa."
