Evan Thomas, a respected citizen of Hemlock township, died this morning about four o'clock, aged about 65 years. He has been afflicted with an ulcerated stomach for the past years and it was this malady that caused his death. The deceased is a brother of Hiram Thomas, of Mt. Pleasant township, and is survived by a wife and a number of children. Funeral services were conducted at the house Sunday and interment in Swenoda cemetery.
