Arthur S. Howe was the son of James Issac Howe and Ada Henry. He married Hazel Darlene Day on August 11, 1924 in Charlotte, Eaton Co., MI. They had two children. Arthur S. Howe, 66, or R. 3, died Tuesday in the Eaton County Medical Facility where he had been a patient for a month. He retired in 1962 as a machinist at the Reo plant in Lansing and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He resided in this area his entire life. Surviving are his wife, Hazel; a son, George of Charlotte; a daughter, Mrs. Lester Dunn of Lansing; three brothers, Harry and Harold of Eaton Rapids and Henry of Lansing; six sisters, Mrs. Ford Hillard of Dimondale, Mrs. Beatrice Brandt, Mrs. Fern Bellinger, Mrs. Clarence Hinton, and Mrs. Hazel Sheader, all of Eaton Rapids and Mrs. Paul Porter of Warren; six grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Pray Funeral Home with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
