Mrs. Nina G. Hammond Succumbs to Illness
Wife of Fine Lakes Resort Proprietor Dies Tuesday Night in Hospital
Mrs. Nina Grace Hammond, 49, died in a local hospital at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday night following a long illness. She is survived by her husband Irwin. A., who owns a resort and grocery at Fine Lake; two daughters, Beatrice, who is employed at the Moon-Journal and Doretha; one son, Douglas; her mother, Mrs. Lovisa Sheldon, 254 Grove; four sisters, Mrs. A. W. Cronk of Maple Street Road, Mrs. E. A. Turner of 254 Grove, Mrs. A. J. Pooley of 168 Meachem avenue, and Mrs. E. J. Campbell of Hammond, Ind; two brothers, Charles Sheldon of 242 West Van Buren, and Herbert Sheldon of 34 Lulu Avenue. Mrs. Hammond was a member of Bryant Chapter, 153, O. E. S. and of the Baptist Church in Marshall.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Bedford Congregational Church with Rev. August F. Johnson in charge, and burial will be made in the Bedford Cemetery. Friends may call at the Williams & Braden Funeral home until 1'oclock Friday afternoon.
