Irene Ada (Denby) Allen-Anderson was the daughter of John Albert Denby and Hazel Howe. Her siblings were Lucille Emily Clutter, Donald Albert, Laura Hazel Day, Douglas James, John Richard, Kenneth Edward and Wayne Frederick Denby. She married Merle Franklin Allen in 1936 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Together they had two daughters. They divorced April 10, 1952. She married Walter James Anderson April 7, 1955. She became the mother to 3 stepchildren and they had no children of their own. They divorced sometime in the late 1970's. Irene was employed by Reo Motors in Lansing for 13 years, sometime from 1940's until early 1950's. She also had several other type of jobs. Her one daughter preceded her in death, Dorothy Merle (Allen) Hastings on September 19, 1991 at the age of 45. Irene was 79 years of age when she passed away.
