Walter James Anderson was the son of Carl Magnus and Hazel Rose (Burdick) Anderson. Walter's occupation for many years was installing siding on buildings. He also was in the U.S. Army for a couple of years about 1956/57/58. He married Beverly Francella Stahl on October 23, 1948 in LaPorte, IN and they had three children. They divorced early in 1955 and he married Ida Irene (Howe) Allen on April 7, 1955 in Lansing, Ingham Co., MI. They had no children, she was previously married and had two daughters. Walter and Irene divorced after 21 years of marriage in 1977. His third marriage was to Judy Ierne (Parker) Melius on May 21, 1983 in DeWitt, Clinton Co., MI (who was also previously married). Walter and Judy had two children, a girl and a boy. They divorced and at the time of his death, he had a fiancee who took care of him until his death due to cancer of the bladder which was diagnosed in December of 1997. He passed away at his home at 2144 W. Ludington Drive, Farwell, Clare Co., MI at the age of 69. He was cremated. Fiancee had possession of the ashes. His mother, stepfather and other relatives are buried in this Cemetery so it is only fitting that I place him here so others can find information on him.
