He never served in our military as he was either too young or too old.
He married Lucy May Gregory. Together they had 8 children: David Oscar, Leslie Homer, Rozena Ruth, Shirley Louise, Sally Marie, Patricia Ann, Paul Sherman and Gail Delores. He was member of the OddFellows and raised quail for hunting purposes & fundraising events for the OddFellows.
For many years he worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for Shell Oil Company until they merged with another company and he was laid-off after 33 yrs. In later years, he was a handiman doing odd jobs.
His favorite sport was baseball and his favorite team was the then St. Louis Cardinals.
For many years his family lived in Cleveland, Oilton, Keystone(before the town was sold and the lake was created) and then, Sherman, Lucy & daughter, Gail moved to Tulsa and lived with their daughter, Pat & her son, David.
Sherman passed away at home while watching baseball in his favorite chair.
