Laid to Rest
On Friday afternoon the funeral of Marland Babcock took place from his late residence, the last sad rites being in charge of the members of Langemo Post, American Legion, of which the deceased was a member. Rev C. W. Morse preached the sermon, and spoke words of comfort to the sorrowing relatives. The floral tributes were many, and spoke feelingly of the esteem in which the young man was held.
The remains were laid to rest in Concord cemetery, the firing squad of the Legion firing, a volley over the grave of their departed comrade.
CARD OF THANKS
With heartfelt gratitude we extend our sincere thanks to the Legion boys, Ladies Auxiliary, friends and neighbors who were so kind and thoughtful to us in the days of our sorrow and for the beautiful floral offerings sent during the illness and death of our beloved son and brother.
