RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT.

Whereas God, in his infinite wisdom having removed from us our brother Sam T. Dendy on March 23rd, 1908. Therefore be it resolved:

1. That Eva Clare Lodge has lost a loyal and faithful knight, one that was true to the order and practiced in his daily life the principles upon which it was founded, and that the community has lost an exemplary citizen, faithful to any trust imposed on him.
2. That our tender, our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved widow and her little children and pray that God will comfort them in their sorrow.
3. That these resolutions be recorded in our minutes, a copy be furnished the bereaved family, and one sent to the Okolona papers for publication.

Whereas our Heavenly Father has taken from our midst our beloved citizen Mr. Sam T. Dendy and,

Whereas Mrs. Dendy, a worthy and much loved Daughter of the Confederacy, has lost a beloved husband and companion, therefore,

Be it resolved:

First, that W. F. Tucker chapter U. D. C. extend to
their beloved sister and co-worker their love and sympathy in this great bereavement.

Second. That we would earnestly entreat our Heavenly Father to look down in tender mercy on this brokenhearted Daughter and pour the oil of consolation and peace into her troubled heart.

Third. That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the Okolona papers and to the family.
