Services for Frederick Wiedenmann were held Monday, July 13, 1981 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona, with Pastor Harold O. Ward officiating.
Frederick Wiedenmann, the son of Matthew [Matthaus] and Henrietta (Zimmerman) Wiedenmann, was born February 11, 1887, in Allamakee County, Iowa. He was baptized at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Postville and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran in Monona.
He was united in marriage to Christina Lienau on February 21, 1912, at her parents home at Fredericksburg, Iowa. To this union five children were born.
He farmed southwest of Monona until his retirement in 1953 when they moved to Monona. He was a resident of the Great River Care Center, McGregor, for a number of years.
Fred died Friday, July 10, 1981, at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, having reached the age of 94 years 4 months 29 days. Preceeding him in death were his parents, a sister, Anna Johanningmeier, a stepbrother Hank and brother Matthew [Matthaus Gustus Wiedenman].
