Wesley Wilhelm/William Wiedenmann, son of Frederick "Fritz" Wiedenman and Christina (Lienau) Wiedenman, was educated at Evergreen Grove School in rural Monona, Clayton County, Iowa.

He married Ruth Lange on January 1, 1949 at Stapleton Lutheran Church in Waucoma, Chickasaw County.

Wesley served in the U. S. Army during World War II from February 15, 1941 to November 15, 1945. He received the Bronze Service Arrowhead, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He was active in Amvets Post 27 of which he was a lifetime member. He operated Wiedenmann Sinclair gas station in Monona for 39 years, then worked at Ewing Plumbing and Heating, also in Monona.

Wesley and wife Ruth had no children.
