Ira Wells
Services for Ira Wells, 71, of 1401 Ave. J are pending at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Wells died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday in the Brownwood COmmunity Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 21, 1900 in Brown County, he was a retired welder and a member of the Melwood Baptist Church and Modern Woodman of the World.
He had lived all of his life in Brown County and in Brownwood 14 years. He was married to Eloner Ragsdale Nov. 5, 1921 in Brownwood.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Franklin E. Wells of Fort Worth; two daughters, Miss Coreene Wells of Dallas and Mrs. R. E. Graves of Beaumont; four brothers, Elmer Wells, Otto Wells, Winfred Wells, all of Brownwood and Delbert Wells Jr. of Odessa; three sisters, Mrs. Lola Flowers and Mrs. Vida Robinson, both of Brownwood and Mrs. Sadie Allgood of Taylor.
