Graveside services for Winfred Wells, 90, were held Saturday, August 31, 1985 in the Tahoka Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Elmer Nelson Wells of Lubbock officiating.
Burial was under the direction of Justice-Mason Funeral Home.
Mr. Wells died Thursday, August 29, 1985 in the Brownwood Care Center.
He was born February 27, 1895 in Brown County,where he was raised and attened school.
In 1923 he moved to Garza County to farm.
After he retired in 1959 he moved to Brownwood to make his home.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include: daughter, Ardalia Wheatley of Brownwood; sons, Howard Wells of Elliston, Montana and Hubert Wells of Billings Montana; brother, Elmer Wells of Brownwood and Delbert Wells of Midland; sisters, Sadie Allgood of Taylor;Lola Floweres and Vida Robinson of Brownwood, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons:Glenn Dale Wheatley,Sr., Glenn Dale Wheatley, Jr., Dave Hopkins, Leroy Schneider, Dwain Downey.
