M.A. Adamson, 82, died in Mary Lanning hospital at Hastings at 3:30 o'clock this morning.
Mr. Adamson who has been in exceptionally robust health for one of his years, became seriously ill Tuesday afternoon and was taken to Hastings for treatment, where he passed away this morning. Deceased was born at Numa, Iowa, February 21, 1855. He came to Nuckolls county (sic), in 1882 and engaged in farming until 1918, when he retired and moved into Nelson. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.
Funeral services will be held in the home, Saturday afternoon at 2:30.

Moses Austin Adamson, son of Henry and Penthesilea Adamson, was born in Appanoose county (sic), Iowa, on February 21, 1855, and departed this life November 4, 1937, at the Mary Lanning Hospital In Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 17 days.
In the fall of 1881 Mr. Adamson came in a covered wagon to Nuckolls county (sic), Nebraska, locating on a farm six miles northeast of Nelson, now the home of Mr. J.F. Bert.
In February of 1884 he returned to his old home in Iowa and brought his bride, Josephine Stickler of Cincinnati, Iowa, to their new pioneer home in Nuckolls county (sic).
To this union two children were born: Libbie C., wife of Robert R. Morrow of Middle Granville, New York, and Glenn of Nelson, Nebr.
In March of 1890, Mrs. Adamson departed this life. In September 1891, Mr. Adamson was united in marriage to Emma Floretta Roberts of Hollinsburg, Ohio.
To this union six children were born: Hazel (wife of William Statz, McKinley and Whitfield, all of Nelson, and three children dying in infancy.
Mr. Adamson lived in the Ox Bow vicinity until 1899, then moving to the old farm home two miles east of Nelson. In 1918 Mr. and Mrs. Adamson retired from the farm and located in their present home in Nelson.
Mr. Adamson is survived by his wife, five children, 27 grand children, 4 great grand children; also 4 brothers, James of Oberlin, Kansas, Will and Elza of Centerville, Iowa, and Noah of Nelson. Three brothers, John, Willis and Elmer, and a sister, Mrs. J.W. Shiveley, preceded him in death.
The family shall ever remember his sincere loyalty to them.
The funeral service was held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C.M. Foust, resident pastor of the Christian Church.
