Russell Lingenfelter was born to John Ulry Lingenfelter and Catherine Mauk Lingenfelter. In 1863, his mother Catherine passed away from diphtheria. Russell also succumbed in 1863 to diphtheria.

**TWO other children died in 1863 of diphtheria and are also buried in this cemetery. Their names are unknown but are thought to be other children from John Ulry & Catherine Mauk Lingenfelter.
Between the 2 Mauk sisters, John Ulry Lingenfelter had 20 children.
