Benjamin Franklin Lingenfelter was the second child born to John Ulry Lingenfelter and Eve Ann Mauk Lingenfelter. Eve was John's second wife. His first wife, Catherine Mauk, was Eve's eldest sister. Benjamin died young from appendicitis.

Given that he died before many cemeteries were established in area and the Lingenfelter's had their private farm cemetery, it is theorized that Benjamin may be buried in the Lingenfelter Farm Cemetery in Sprankle Mills, PA. His grave location to this day is unknown. This cemetery was desecrated from coal strip mining in the 1960s.
