ATHENS - Memorial services for Alice Audrey Airheart Gaston, 86, Trinidad, mother of a Henderson resident, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel, Athens.

Private burial will be held in Trinidad Cemetery.

Mrs. Gaston died Feb. 17, 2008, in Bryan.

She was born May 21, 1921, in Trinidad to the late Clarence Collins and Irene Belle Wilson Airheart. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Trinidad, and Beacon Baptist Church, Bryan. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James "Jim" Gaston, July 31, 2001.

Survivors include son, Jerry Gaston, Bryan; daughters, Kay Carter, Henderson, Judy Story, Fort Worth; brother, J.C. Airheart, Trinidad; sisters, Frances Newsome and Hildred Cartlidge, both of Trinidad, Margaret Crawford, Mabank; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a church or charity.
