Services for Frances Newsome, 83, Trinidad, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 30, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Trinidad with Rev. Jim Shafer officiating.Burial will follow in Trinidad Cemetery.
Mrs. Newsome died April 27, 2009, in Malakoff.She was born May 31, 1925, in Trinidad to the late Clarence Collins and Irene Bell Wilson Airheart.
Frances resided in Dallas 22 years where she worked for R.L. Polk and Co. Publishers. She moved to Lancaster in 1967 and returned to Trinidad in 1974 for retirement and was a member of First Baptist Church in Trinidad.
She was preceded in death by brothers, C.W. Airheart, Buster Airheart, Pat Airheart, Pete Airheart, Bill Airheart and sister, Alice Gaston.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Lawrence H. Newsome, Trinidad, son, David A. Newsome and wife Karen, Trinidad, grandchildren, Collin and Katie Newsome, brother, J.C. Airheart, Trinidad, sister, Bessie Hildred Cartlidge, Trinidad, Margaret Crawford, Cedar Creek Lake.Pallbearers will include Benny Cartlidge, Bobby Cartlidge, Dr. Jerry Gaston, Dan Phillips, Mike Airheart and Thomas Sapp.
