Airheart Rites At Trinidad


TRINIDAD - Services for Mrs. Irene Airheart, 86, of Trinidad, are set for 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Boler and Billy Watson officiating. Burial will be in Trinidad City Cemetery under direction of Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home. Mrs. Airheart died Friday in a Corsicana hospital. She was born June 24, 1894, in the Chickasaw Nation which later became the state of Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Trinidad for 70 years. Her husband, the late C.C. Airheart, was one of the original settlers of Trinidad. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Trinidad. Survivors are six sons, Clarence W. Airheart, Pat Airheart and Buster Airheart, all of Trinidad; Bill Airheart of Beeville; Pete Airheart of Mineola; and J.C. Airheart of Malakoff; four daughters, Mrs. J.E. Gaston, Mrs. Laurence Newsome, both of Trinidad: and Mrs. A.C. Cartlidge and Mrs. Orvill Crawford, both of Lancaster; 27 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ted Airheart, Larry Airheart, Kenneth Airheart, David Newsome. Bobby Cartlidge and Mike Crawford.
