Jochim Goetsch, Obituary, 1909.

Jochim N. Goetsch died at 6:30 o'clock last evening at Mercy hospital, where he had been confined by illness for ten days. He was born in Germany January 14, 1859 and was 50 years, 8 months and 28 days old. He came to America, directly to Davenport, with his parents when he was 4 years old, and lived here ever since. Recently he had been employed as a bartender for Carl Ziebarth and Paul Berndt. Besides his wife, Amelia Goetsch, nee Schnoor, he leaves three daughters, Clara and Doris at home, and Mrs. Alma Martens of Chicago, two sons, Willie and Rudolph, and six brothers, William, Ernst, Henry, Herman, Hans and Julius, all of Davenport. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence, 932 Warren Street, with interment in Fairmount cemetery. .

We, the undersigned, wish to extend our sincere thanks to the many kind friends and neighbors, who so kindly assisted us during the late bereavement and death of my husband and our father, Jochim Goetsch, and also for the many beautiful floral tributes.
