Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Runge chapel for Ernest Goetsch, 89, formerly of 933 1/2 West 3rd St., Davenport, who died at a local hospital Thursday after an extended illness. Cremation will follow in Davenport Crematory.
Mr. Goetsch was a well known cigar manufacturer in this area for a number of years. He was born in Davenport Dec. 28, 1867, and was educated in local schools. He served on Boards of Review of Scott county for many years and was a member of Fraternal order of Eagles 235, and Davenport Turner Society.
Six brothers preceeded (sic) him in death. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
