Henry Eakins, 75, Former Resident, Dies
Henry Eakins, 75, former resident of Newport News and a retired employee of the U. S. Government Printing Office in Washington, D. C., died at a Washington hospital Wednesday after a long illness. He had worked at the shipyard while a resident here.
He is survived by his wife and among his surviving nieces and nephews are Mrs. Marie Palombo, A. L. Damino, W. A. Damino, and Mrs. S. H. Babb, all of Newport News.
Requiem mass will be held at 10 this morning in Washington and burial will be made there.

Requiem mass was conducted at 10 A. M. yesterday in Washington for Henry Eakins, 75, former Newport News resident who is survived by four nieces and nephews here.
Eakins, a retired United States Government Printing Office employee at Washington, worked in the shipyard while living here. He died Wednesday.
Nieces and nephews surviving here are Mrs. Marie Palombo, Mrs. S. H. Babb, A. L. Damino and W. A. Damino.
